Welllllll. At least close to.
Amanda, be mine and forever go to baseball games with me?
Lollll. <3
There once was a girl who went out with her friends.
They danced and they drank and they held out till the end.
… That night the club nicknamed her, “Chris with the Tits”
And every man said they could satisfy her bits.
But Chris with the Tits and Meg would have none of that,
So she left with her new girlfriend, sweeping the men under the mat.
Bahahaha. I am a poet. No biggie.

Found this while at Toys R Us looking for little Lexi’s birthday prezzie!
WANT.
This is a bill in Ontario, awaiting to be passed.
It would require ALL school boards to have policies that ensure that bullying and inappropriate behaviour is responded to especially if done due to hate of something that person represents (sexual orientation, race, etc.). It would require schools be a safe environment for students of all backgrounds. This means that there would be a safe means in which to discuss and be open about identities. It would also maintain that expulsion is a possible and likely consequence for bullying out of hate. On top of that, it legally requires all boards to support students who desire to lead groups that promote gender-equality. It would insist that teachers are LGBTQ sensitive and withhold them from making hate comments themselves. This bill essentially adds gender identity to what is to be accepted in schools.
The issue here is that the Catholic school board would have to accept the rules of this bill as well. Many Catholic parents have started campaigns, fighting against this bill. They insist that environments such as these would corrupt their children- have them talking openly about sex and becoming “gender deviants” when they never would have thought of it to begin with.
Let me just say, that I am a Catholic and I support LGBTQ rights. Which essentially, are HUMAN rights. This is not an issue of taking away religion or taking away its influence. It is an issue of making sure every child feels safe in their school- feels welcome. A large percentage of parents of children who committed suicide, did not find out their child was homosexual until after it was too late. This argument of corrupting their children? It’s quite likely that your child could already be homosexual, and you just don’t know about it yet. You’d be okay with someone physically assaulting your own child because of it?
The end of homophobic bullying/violence in schools, starts with parents, teachers, faculty, etc. They have to be on board before any changes in the school system can be made. Spread awareness and ensure that schools remain safe for ALL students.
Happy Valentines Day lovelies!

The power of the slut walk. <3
In my gender studies class, there’s this girl that I battle every week due to her ignorance and narrow-mindedness. One week, she felt the need to point out that being a slut isn’t in the way you dress, but in the way you act. That if you talk bout your sex life, you are a slut, and therefore, are more prone to getting raped. She was trying to make an intelligent argument. However, the point of the slut walk is to reclaim this word, ‘slut.’ No one deserves to be called a slut, nor do they deserve to be raped because of the way they look or act. If a woman or man is proud of or comfortable with their sexual being, then fuck. Let ‘em be proud of it- let them be proud of their bodies. Rape is due to power imbalances- in our world, in our society, and in one’s individual experiences. Not because of the way the victim looks or acts. The person in this picture is a boy. Nothing anyone says can justify that he deserved to be raped. Just be careful with the words you use, and for goodness sakes, just treat people with dignity. No matter what they look like.
Rick, that’s you. :)
